Characteristics

Derived from the evaporation of liquid Caustic Soda 50%, our caustic soda flakes, also known as Sodium Hydroxide, exhibit excellent moisture absorbency and complete solubility in water. Recognized by multiple names including Sodium Oxidanide and Soda Lye, our product is widely acclaimed for its versatility and corrosive nature.

Strongly alkaline (pH 13-14).
Highly reactive, especially with water and acids.
Hygroscopic and corrosive.

Requires protective gear for handling.
Must be stored in airtight, cool, and dry conditions.
Corrosive to skin and metals; inhalation and ingestion are hazardous.
